DISTRIBUTION BEGINS
About three weeks ago, I got an idea while I was at work: I should order copies of my stories to donate to schools in my city! Remember that I have ADD and take medication in order to focus throughout the day. I ordered 3 copies of Two Drinks at a Night's Waltz. One copy I donated to Marina Middle School, the other, A.P. Giannini Middle School.
I returned to Marina Middle 2 weeks later, anxious to donate copies of my other story, Black Suede Jacket. Inside the library, I came to find out from the library that my stories were not appropriate for middle school students.
One the drive home, I wondered where I would donate the copies to. Suddenly, I thought, George Washington High School!
It was close to midday when I went into the high school and showed the librarian my stories.
A minute later, she said, "Sign them."
Out of breath from walking nonstop, I asked, "Why?"
"Come on! It's always exciting to sign what you wrote," she said, talking me into it.
So I signed both copies and left the high school.
Sometimes students should read something that will keep them guessing until the last page!
