A Comic Book For The Hyperactive Boy

I was heading towards the Jackson Street Mini-Library on Jackson Street in Pacific Heights last Friday morning. I noticed the Subway on Van Ness as I was driving towards my destination. Realizing I hadn't had breakfast, I parked my car, Toyota Corolla 2014, and fed the meter for 21 minutes.
Inside, I noticed a young, Asian worker close to the counter. I think they were setting up, because I saw two men bring a small refrigerator from the back. I told him my order: 6 inch Egg and Cheese with Italian Bread. I grabbed a small plastic bottle of 1% Low-Fat Chocolate Milk.
While making my breakfast sandwich, a middle-aged mother and her 3-year-old son with light-brown hair entered. The boy was literally hyperactive, motioning towards the Inside Out characters being advertised on the wall, behind the counter. He wouldn't even let his mother breathe for a minute. Think 2 whole minutes went by until she was able to order.
One comic book I read last week (Superman/Wonder Woman #19)

Suddenly, I got an idea: Maybe the boy would leave his mommy alone if I gave him a comic book I had read already, Justice League #42.
My sandwich was placed in the oven. I told the Subway worker I would be back. I left the store, never once letting go of the chocolate milk. Luckily, an alarm didn't go off!
I re-entered the store handed the mother the comic book, who appeared calm, asking, "Does your son read comics?"
"Yes," she said, as she started to look through it.
I paid for my order and started walking toward the door.
The mother looked up at me from the book, and asked, "Are you sure?"
I turned to look at her.
"Yeah", I said. "Enjoy!"
Moral of the story: Give a hyperactive child something to read, and he'll calm down!
