My Spring Break

My Spring Break was this week. I had decided to take this time to work on my PROFILE assignment- My number one priority. Another thing I had on my to-do list during my break was to bike more often, which I did Tuesday and Wednesday when going to the gym. Unfortunately, not everything happens the way you think it should. This week of working on an assignment and exercise has felt like when summer first starts, and I don't have a part-time job to go to each morning. To put it in word: Endless and with no idea what

It feels relaxing to workout after a long time. Then again, I have been lifting weights in my Brother's room once in a while. I would ride my bike to the Cliff House whenever I didn't go to the gym. I wished I had brought my digital camera with me yesterday afternoon when I had ridden to the Cliff House to take a picture of the sun setting behind the historic house, itself.
I was around bus stop when I noticed the sight.

I worked on my PROFILE assignment, which is due Monday, from afternoons until nighttime. I would add quotes and information onto the work. It turned out that I hadn't received the e-mails back from the night manager and the Mohammad Awadalla, the person who helped Saied Amin, owner of Casa Hookah, with the decorations of the place. I hoped they would e-mail me by Sunday night, that way I would have enough time on Monday to add the data before turning in the assignment.

Yesterday afternoon, I read old newspaper articles before throwing them in the recycling bin. So much to do and so little time, literally. I was about to start reading Fumbling The Future: How Xerox Invented, Then Ignored The First Personal Computer by Douglas K. Smith and Robert C. Alexander, but got rooted in reading this month's copy of the Richmond Review, the Richmond District's neighborhood newspaper. I was looking for latest crimes that have taken place in the inner part of the district as well as reading about the Richmond library. I am considering doing my ISSUE story on the library itself, which is under renovation. It looks historic. I will either do my final assignment on the Richmond library or one of the Muni lines that go through the district and might be going through changes.

I'll start reading Fumbling The Future tomorrow. I always enjoy reading about appliances that were invented and put aside for unknown reasons, ultimately changing the course of history.

  2. My profile picture was taken when my brother and I were returning from Alcatraz. He wanted to go there. I, on the other hand, have been there more than once. I guess you could say that I "captured a moment" with that picture.
