John Wick: Action-Thriller

I didn't work last night because supposedly I had a leg problem that I got for sticking my butt out before doing frog-jumps last Friday. I stayed home watching YouTube on the living room LCD-TV. A TV-Spot for an action movie played each time prior to the feature presentation.  This TV-Spot (they play during commercials notifying viewers about movies) is about an old guy (Keanu Reeves) in his early-50s that lives in the countryside with his puppy that his deceased wife left him. He drives a muscle car from the 1970s. One day someone wearing a black hooded sweatshirt asks him how much he would sell the car for. When the protagonist won't sell the car, bad guys rob the mutt and leave him bleeding. We find out that the robbers are involved with the mafia, and finally the hero, John Wick, returns for payback.

Every decade, from the 50s to the 90s, was known for a type of movie. Movies about revenge became popular in the 90s. For example, The Crow, one of my favorite movies, is about a band member who was thrown out a window the night he and his wife were killed. A year later, dead, he rises from his grave and has his revenge before returning to his final resting place. Same story! 

Some movies came to theaters this summer that I didn't see, saw with my brother, or saw alone. John Wick is definitely and action-thriller that comes to theaters October 24th, a week before Halloween. Maybe I'll just watch on Halloween before work!
