The NEW Dark Knight
And the winner is . . . BEN AFFLECK!
A week and a half ago, after rumors from the media concerning who would don the cape and cowl, and face off against The Man of Steel in the sequel, Ben Affleck, Oscar-Winner for Good Will Hunting and Argo, came out shining. It was announced on Facebook that he will play Batman.
The only problem: Batman will be taller than Superman, which, according to an animated Batman/Superman movie is wrong- SUPERMAN IS SUPPOSED TO BE TALLER THAN BATMAN. Maybe they'll use camera trickery to make Flyboy appear taller, or have him stand on a box of apples each time the heroes share a scene.
What do I think of Affleck taking up the role of Batman/Bruce Wayne? First of all, a decade ago, he took on the role of Daredevil, a product of Marvel Comics.
Back then, some people would say that Affleck could not act. Now that he has an Oscar for Best Director for Argo, and an acting-nomination I think he is ready for more roles (I did not see the OSCARS this year due to my new part-time job.) Therefore, he might still be able to pull off The Caped Crusader-role. Back when Christopher Nolan picked Heath Ledger to play Joker in The Dark Knight, people thought he couldn't do the role justice because he had only done dramatic roles.
