What kind of a friend is THAT?
I was at work last night, sitting on a wooden stool reading the San Francisco Chronicle when I thought of calling friends I hadn't spoken to in a long time as I drove home: My first secret long-distance ex-girlfriend in Redwood City (I never introduced my parents to her), a friend from high school that I used to call frequently, and a friend-of-a-friend that is secretive and weird: Rosalinda! She suffers from the following: ADD, PTSD, and BPD.
Last year Rosalinda contacted me around six times for favors. I was always left wanting to talk more, but eventually forgot about her. All I am to her is an Errand Boy.
In life we meet different kinds of people. We only have to separate the good from the bad in order to move on!
Before driving home. I dialed a friend's number on the iPhone that was attached to a blue auxiliary cord and that was connected to my car radio. I left him a message. The same with my former long-distance lover. Finally, I called Rosalinda and left her a message on her voice mail.
10: 27. I was at home, checking my e-mail before going to bed. Suddenly, I heard the Serena Ryder's song "Sweeping The Ashes" from my phone and noticed Rosalinda's pissed off expression. I answered the call. She told me that she didn't want me calling her, that she felt uncomfortable, being near me ...
Have you been taking your medication?
After 3 minutes I noticed the time on the Task Bar.
She asked me if I understood what she meant. I responded back in sarcasm: "I have an idea! How about we talk again in 1-2 years just to see how things are going?" Then I hung up on her.
